Tiwatope Savage was born on 5 February 1980, in Isale Eko, Lagos State, Nigeria. She is Yoruba ethnically. Her family relocated to London when she was 11 years old. While attending secondary school, she was a trombone player for her school’s orchestra band.

Tiwa Savage is ruling the afrobeat genre as queen of the pack and she has released some cracking songs ; meanwhile, she is set to release her debut film soon.
