Arsenal Keeps Title Hopes Alive With A Hard Fought Victory At White Hart Lane.
Tottenham vs Arsenal:
What a game of two halves we had at the White hart lane, the home patch of Tottenham hot Spurs.
In the first half, Tottenham hot Spurs saw a great deal of the ball, but couldn’t make it count when it mattered most at Arsenal’s goal post. Whereas, it was the Gunners that started quite unusually slow that drew the first blood, when Bukayo Saka’s set piece was nodded home by unlucky Pierre Emile Holjberg into Vicario’s net, then when it seemed like Van de Vert had brought the game to parity, but the goal was chopped off by VAR, and in quick counter attack, Declan Rice sent an intelligent pass across to Saka on the right end of the field, trust Saka, he grabbed the opportunity as he quickly ran into open space and turned the ball from his right to his favourite left foot, before driving the ball cooly at the bottom right corner of the Italian Spurs goalie. The white hart lane guys were undeterred by this goal as they kept on pushing, controlling the match with their deft touches on the ball, but yet no dice. Then Arsenal had another set piece situation and Declan Rice got his kick right as he found the head of the slow but deadly German international player for Arsenal Kai Havertz , who made no mistake from close range as his header beat the Spurs defence. First half it was Spurs 0 Arsenal 3.
Then came the second half, it appeared that Arsenal players became complacent, Raya gifted Christian Romero a great chance to score and the Argentine made no mistake as he pounced on the poor kick out by David Raya to give Tottenham hot Spurs a lifeline and indeed they took the game to Arsenal’s defence and in a flurry of attack Declan Rice wrongly kicked an on rushing Spurs player, the resultant pk was cooly slotted in by Son to make it Spurs 2 Arsenal 3 . The pressure mounted on Arsenal, and hot Spurs left their defence line open and they were almost punished twice by Arsenal’s player, but they didn’t make use of the opportunities presented to them. Totthenham players tried their best but couldn’t find the much desired equalizing goal, so it ended at White hart lane Tottenham hot Spurs 2 Arsenal 3.
